Neverland Book Tours

Hello, today starts the tour for Different by Nancy E. Wood!

Good girl Gina is gone. But who is she now?
Gina has been looking forward to getting away from the past that's haunting her at home, starting a new life far away at college. But she never expected that her past would follow her there. Having to meet all new people in a brand new place, all she can do is pretend that she's as normal as everyone else and try to fit in with her new friends. Because who knows what would happen if they found out who she really is?
Different is the crazy, energetic sequel to a girl seeking love and acceptance. The novel paints a vibrant picture of Christian college and the challenges that arise when a teen moves away and starts her new, independent life away from home.

Title: The Assassin’s Daughter
Author: Jameson C. Smith
Age Group: Young Adult (15+)

Blurb:
For most of her life, Katira has trained to take on the role of assassin. While it’s far from the life she would have chosen, the law known as the Inheritance Proclamation dictates that she must follow in her father’s profession. At seventeen, she’ll be expected to use her training on a real assignment any day.
When new information about an old fugitive brings questions about Kat’s past to light, she must make a choice: Prove her loyalties to the Tederan Order and their laws, or become a fugitive to search after answers she may never find.

Content warnings:
Violence: Characters are killed, with mentions of the weapon used, some mentions of blood/bloodstains. Characters fight, sometimes mild injuries are sustained. Discussions of death, assassinations, war, and executions (not graphic). Violence is not overly graphic, and does not go farther than a PG-13 level.

Language: Mentions of characters cursing (such as “he cursed”); a few uses of “blast,” “blasted,” and “blazes.”

Book Formats: MOBI, PDF, EPUB

Hello, today is the cover reveal for The Amazing Misty-Bird by Trista Shaye. This is the third book of the middle-grade series, Big the Barn Cat.

ABOUT THE BOOK

In bedtime stories, anyone can be a superhero.

It’s the middle of winter, and a blizzard is tearing past the W’s farm. Safe in the lower barn, Big is calling on all his creativity to tell Misty-Bird the best rest-time tale he can think up. And by George, it’s a doozy.

Meet Misty-Bird—the superhero cat—helper to the poor, weak, and lost animals of the world. He’s a do-gooder, a champion of others. A nobler heart you can’t find anywhere.

When an odd group of critters shows up in the woods, can Misty-Bird figure out who’s lying and who’s telling the truth? Time is running out for him to save an entire kingdom from falling into the
wrong paws, but the hero needs to decide who’s trying to help him and
who wants to stop him.

Do all superheroes fly? Or can you be one even without special abilities?

Content Warnings: none

Today is the tour kickoff for Empire of Blood. Neverland Book Tours is excited to be hosting and we cannot wait to see all the posts. We hope you follow along.

ABOUT THE BOOK

Lilly Faine is tired of classmates dissing her family, and doesn’t care when she receives suspension for nearly punching the lights out of a classmate. Her father isn’t crazy, even if he does spout stories about a world full of magic, a cruel king who hunted him, and has a shattered amulet that tingles when Lilly touches it.
When an old enemy appears under Chicago’s beloved Bean, Lilly and her brother Gabriel are shoved into the impossible world their father believed in. Alone on opposite ends of a war, they race to rescue each other. Lilly finds aid and friendship in a band of rebels, but she is also hunted by the emperor’s personal assassin. Gabriel gains the help of the emperor, but Gabriel’s choices to do good may lead him into dark shadows he can’t find his way out of.
Magic thrums within their reach, promising aid, and Lilly and Gabriel both must decide if the magic they seek – and the causes for which they now fight – is worth the risk of their souls.

Content Warning: Two characters share a kiss. War/battle is a prominent element, so there are wounds and death, but no gore. One of the MC whips two characters. Language does contain a tiny amount of minor curses, such as “hell,” “damn,” and “bastard.”

About the Author

Olivia Cornwell is a storyteller with a love of dragons and magical worlds. She writes stories of hope and redemption and familial relationships, and far too many sarcastic characters. She writes to entertain her readers (and may or may not collect their tears along the way) and share the truth of her Creator. At least when she isn’t struggling to control her characters, drinking a lot of coffee, or hoarding chocolate.
She hides out in Ohio, and in her spare time Olivia cuddles her niece and nephews, and yowls back at her cat (who is most likely her familiar). She also enjoys adopting the characters from her friends’ novels and keeping them safe from their own dangers.
